Precision instrument industry
Article Abstract:
Modest growth in shipments is expected for the precision instrument industry during the last half of 1999, as the Latin American, European, and US economies are expected to counter weak Asian demand. The global need for these products suggests further growth over the next three to five years, but demand is determined by economic factors, as the industry is comprised by different product and customer segments. Sales and earnings are expected to grow modestly in 1999, but conservative investors should seek other opportunities.
