President killed by suicide bomber
Article Abstract:
Pres Premadasa of Sri Lanka was assassinated, and 23 others were killed by a suicide bomber on May 1, 1993. Democratic United National Front leader Athulathmudali was killed Apr 23, 1993. Allegations that Tamil separatists are responsible for the bombings have not been substantiated.

Suicide bomber kills six Israelis on Tel Aviv bus
Article Abstract:
A terrorist suspected to be in the Islamic Resistance Movement, or Hamas, exploded a bomb on a bus in Tel Aviv on Jul 24, 1995. The bomb killed six, including the bomber, and injured 30. This came one day before the deadline for writing out terms of expanded Palestinian self-rule.

Premadasa cremated
Article Abstract:
Former Sri Lankan Pres Premadasa, who had been assassinated on May 1, 1993, was cremated on May 6, 1993. Police believed the alleged assassin, Kulkaweerasingham Veerakumar, to be a Tamil.
