President of Toys 'R' Us quits abruptly
Article Abstract:
Bruce Krysiak resigned unexpectedly from the president and COO post at Toys R Us after only one year in the position. Speculation about the reason is varied. One thought is that he realized he is not going to get the CEO post due to poor performance in sales for the large retailer of toys. Another thought is that declining profits and the resulting reorganization have revealed that the company's problems are worse than originally thought. He was expected to effect a turnaround by virtue of his being an outsider to the toy industry.
