The competitive advantage of interconnected firms: An extension of the resource-based view
Article Abstract:
The resource-based view is extended to incorporate the network resources of interconnected firms and the model distinguishes shared resources from nonshared resources. Findings reveal that after reassessing the heterogeneity, imperfect mobility, imitability and substitutability conditions, it is concluded that the nature of relationships might matter more than the nature of resources in networked environments.
