The Reagan Administration promised to cut taxes, spending, and regulation. It has cut the first two, but cuts in regulation have remained incomplete. The Clean Air Act expired in 1982, and parts of it have been reauthorized. The Reagan Administration seeks deregulation in finance, drugs, natural gas, and oil pipelines.
