Iranian warplanes killed one person and injured five people in a bombing of an Iranian rebel base in Ashraf, Iraq, on Apr 5, 1992. The attack represented a possible violation of the 1988 cease-fire between Iran and Iraq.

Tajikistan forces take rebel centers

Reports on Feb 21, 1993, indicated that government forces from Tajikistan had captured bases northeast of Dushanbe after expelling Islamic opposition troops from the area. The rebel centers at Ramit and Garm were seized.
