Bosnia factions agree to form government
Article Abstract:
Bosnian Serbs, Muslims and Croats signed an agreement on Sep 26, 1995, that specifies terms of a new government, which would be run by a collective presidency. Serbs would get 1/3 of Parliament seats and the Muslim-Croat federation would get 2/3. Fighting continued despite the agreement.

Taliban rebels launch new offensive
Article Abstract:
Taliban rebels in Afghanistan gained control of Herat and Shindand in Aug 1995 and Sep 1995, after previous gains earlier in 1995. Efforts to mediate the civil war have collapsed and the rebels hope to install a strict Islamic regime.
