Reexamining a model for evaluating information center success using a structural equation modeling approach
Article Abstract:
The structural equation modeling approach was adopted to evaluate the success of information center use. The model was adopted due to its ability for a rigorous validation of instruments for unobserved constructs, which is especially true in information centers since most of its users are not management information systems professionals and have limited qualifications to comment on the effectivity of the system. Results show that the structural equation modeling approach is limited in its success in both model fit and construct validity and suffers from its limited use as a confirmatory tool.

Toward an understanding of the behavioral intention to use an information system
Article Abstract:
The Technology Acceptance Model was adapted to accept factors which describe user involvement with the information system. This involvement factor and the descriptive ability of the model is its superiority with other models used to assess the effectivity of information systems. Results of the modeling showed attitude playing a mediating role in the use of information systems.
