Australia's business executives favor a republic over a constitutional monarchy for the opportunity to redefine Australia's identity in the global market. Although 73% of respondents surveyed support a republic, most of them are wary that the change might disturb business relationships. Business executives are also more supportive of a Parliament-elected president than a popularly elected president.
