Tryvertising is the new marketing technique being adopted by branded products and services in Australia. These products are offered at luxury hotels and can range from anything like bed, bathroom line, television etc. The products get an audience and the hotels can increase customer satisfaction with their own brands. In addition, hotels can also charge the companies for allowing their products to be placed in the rooms and foyers.

Pricewaterhouse Coopers' report 2001 shows that more than 140 hotels in Australia show a decline in all the main hotel performance indicators like occupancy rates, revenue per room and profit and loss accounts. Some parts of the higher-end hotels experience will lose their lustre as room rates fall and hotel operators continue to maintain profitability.
