Santa's writing workshop
Article Abstract:
A writer tooks his wife and children to the North Pole Writers' Conference as a way for his family to share their writing interests. When his nine-year-old son began to read his piece that was a letter to Santa Claus, he encountered serious literary crtiticism about the conflict that derives from literary characters who desire something thay cannot not obtain. Now the annual family holiday newsletter will reflect their new literary skills that prevent starting off with a wish of `Happy Ho-Ho Holidays!' and the tendency to lean on literary cliches.
