Serial bomber seeks manuscript publication: 'Unabomber' reveals plane threat hoax

The 'New York Times' and the' Washington Post' received letters written by the 'Unabomber' in which he threatened to continue his 17-year bombing spree unless the newspapers publish his anarchist manifesto. In a separate letter to another newspaper on Jun 27, 1995, he threatened to blow up an airplane.

Hamas bomber kills five Jews in Jerusalem bus attack
Article Abstract:
A suicide bomber and member of the Islamic Resistance Movement set a bomb off inside a commuter bus in Jerusalem, Israel, on Aug 21, 1995. The bomb was said to be the first in a series of planned attacks scheduled to last until Nov 1996, when Israel holds elections. Peace talks were suspended.

Serial bomber's manuscript published
Article Abstract:
The Washington Post printed the entire 35,000-word document written by the so-called Unabomber in hopes that he will keep his promise of not making any more bombs. The New York Times printed part of the document, which deplores the use of technology in society. No suspect is known.
