Settling cross-cultural disagreements begins with "where" not "how."
Article Abstract:
A research conducted by Catherine Tinsley on organizational conflicts and disagreements suggests that understanding the culturally-influenced preferences of every member about conflict resolution helps in the management of disagreements. Three strategies for managing disputes were identified, including the use of influence or status, turning to rules that may settle the dispute, and the integration of personal interests.
