Sex and longing in Old Vienna
Article Abstract:
An analysis of the lifestyle of Austrian author Arthur Schnitzler reveals much of what influenced his sexually-charged works. Schnitzler's main theme in his works was sexual love and its psychology. He had many sexual adventures throughout his life, and psychoanalyst Sigmund Freud expressed his admiration for Schnitzler for obtaining insight he could only determine after much research. Schnitzler's works are regarded as above average quality.
