Six years of leadership learning
Article Abstract:
An analysis of the work of the Learning Leaders Group, a mentoring scheme in New Zealand that was established in 1994 with the aim of putting heart and purpose back into top management leadership. Members of the Group have the opportunity to solve real immediate issues, work on integrating their personal and professional lives, explore new innovations and ideas, challenge current paradigms, reflect on their own leadership abilities, work together with other leaders to create solutions to organisational problems, and take a society-wide perspective on issues.

Article Abstract:
Suggestions to move the issues of terminology in 'helping' activities forward in educational, social, and occupational settings are presented. Three main terms- counseling, coaching and mentoring- that are used to describe helping behaviors are discussed and it is concluded that a name does matter and the meaning we place on it matters more.
