Australian commodities are expected to rebound after their fall during the first month of the Asian economic crisis, which began in Oct. 1997. Lower exchange rates make Asian markets more competitive. Panic is decreasing, and financial rescue packages are being established and implemented. Industry observers predict that Asia shortly be able to resume its export focus.
