Australian shipbuilding industry Austal created an engineering marvel in form of a yacht for Greg Norman. In the process however, Austal suffered severe financial losses to recoup from which it took on more profitable albeit less challenging works like building commercial passenger ferries. Today, the shares of the company are trading at about $1.75, a more than 70% hike from 47 cents in March 2003.

JB Hi-Fi sells CDs, DVDs, and home and car entertainment equipment through retail stores in shopping malls and other independent shops. It has built an impression as a cheap, no-frills retailer of music and equipment in its home market of Melbourne and floated its shares on October 23, 2003 with a subsequent net profit of 9.3 million dollars in the first half of 2003-04 as a public company.
