Labels suggesting the benefits of drinking wine look likely
Article Abstract:
The wine industry of the U.S. gets lobbying help from the Wine Institute comprised of 450 member wineries. In 1995 the group helped sway the Dept. of Agriculture and the DHHS to change Dietary Guidelines to include a statement that says moderate wine consumption could have a coronary health benefit for some. Now two more statements are being considered by the ATF and one or both are expected to be approved for use in wine labeling. Strom Thurmond, republican senator from South Carolina, will put up a strong fight against such approval.

P&G attempts to lure retailers online
Article Abstract:
Procter & Gamble has got Internet advertising, but it wants to promote its products through its regular retailers. The trick is to get the retailers to take advantage of P&G's offer to get into the electronic media. Consequently, it will try another approach: provide a list of stores that carries a product (such as Tide) to a consumer who enters a zip code. Another option the company is providing is the capacity to order a product that might be hard to get and have it sent to the consumer's door.
