Steel (general) industry
Article Abstract:
The steel (general) industry has not benefited from the good US economy in the 1990s as the US steel price structure has remained soft due to imports from abroad. The US steel industry does have a competitive edge, however, but it will be some time before the current profit ills disappear. Investors need to be patient, as most of these stocks are not timely for 1999 and the year 2000.
