Supply loops and their constraints: the industrial ecology of recycling and reuse
Article Abstract:
The importance of supply chain constraints and how lack of data is found to be a major obstacle to evaluation of supply loops is studied. Two supply loops, recycling and reuse of structural steel sections in U.K. construction sector is demonstrated.

New possibilities are offered by product modularity for supply chain design. It is proposed that optimal closed-loop supply chain management requires type of return, optimal value, and values of reuse information.
