Budget proposal 'ambushes' self-managed super funds
Article Abstract:
A new Australian budget proposal would change the use of private unit trusts. Self-managed super funds would be forced to dispose of almost all property unit trust holdings. These self-managed funds allow members to establish private unit trusts that borrow to buy assets the individuals could not afford.
