Television network executive Bob Campbell left the Seven Network in 1995 and Des Monaghan left in 1996. Together they formed Screentime, which produces programs including the popular 'Breakers,' a day-time drama show. In development are several new programs, such as 'The Potato Factory,' which they will sell to Seven. Screentime has formed joint ventures with other television production companies to help produce additional shows.

Kellogg Australia officials have adopted new strategies to drive market growth after a disappointing performance in 1997. Volume sales fell 0.5% and retail dropped 0.8%, partly the result of unsuccessful product launches. The acquisition of Day Dawn gives Kellogg new facilities and an entrance into the cereal bar market. Officials will also target the nutritious snacks sector.
