Predicting net revenues from state supported lotteries
Article Abstract:
Not all state supported lotteries can provide the needed revenues. As such, state governments must first come up with net lottery revenue projections before they embark on state supported lottery projects. A one-year study reveals that states such as Wyoming, Idaho, New Mexico, North Dakota and Utah may not be able to achieve considerable gains from lotteries. The projected low returns from state supported lotteries in these areas can be attributed to low population and low population density.
