The reasons for the rise in executive bonuses, which are attributed to growth in an organization's revenues and dearth of executive intellectuals, are examined. The methods to be followed by the executive intellectuals for good executive bonuses are outlined. The views of Chris Hart of Hart Consulting Group, Peter Ryan of Hewitt Associates, Stephen Cornwell of PricewaterhouseCoopers and others on this bonus hike are presented.

Values of executive bonuses have been falling in Australia, and those who receive cash bonuses lose a large chunk of it to taxes. Strategies are presented for converting cash bonuses to tax-efficient fringe benefits such as company shares or an entertainment allowance.
