The concept of entrepreneurial intensity: implications for company performance
Article Abstract:
The impact of entrepreneurial intensity (EI) on organizational performance are analyzed. Results show strong correlations between EI and five out of six performance measures, namely, employment growth, sales growth, sales compared to competitors, customer growth and size of customer base. The absence of a link between EI and profit growth is attributed to entrepreneurial firms' practice of reinvesting in product and market development.
