Disability insurance provides additional incentives to upper management personnel and helps cover possible business losses. Designing a disability coverage plan should consider program costs and disability returns, an elimination period and plan coverage period. Plan value can also be increased by adding riders such as cost-of-living adjustment and automatic indexing. Premium costs can also be optimized by negotiating for better coverages and plan terms.

What recession?
Article Abstract:
The lethargic economy does not seem to have had negative effects on business for franchise owners. A survey conducted for the International Franchise Assn revealed that out of 994 franchise owners, 94% regard their franchise operations to be doing very well. In 1991, franchise operations registered a growth of 8.9%, surpassing by over 500% the overall growth of the US economy.
