Who gets the promotion?
Article Abstract:
Companies encounter problems when they have a single position available for several equally-qualified candidates for promotion. To prevent the loss of motivation for unpromoted employees, all candidates must be given equal opportunities for promotion. The company must meet unpromoted candidates and provide them with other opportunities for growth to alleviate expected disapointment and temporary sub-par performance.
