Article Abstract:

According to Bob Birrell, the director of Monash University's Centre for Population and Urban Research, language problems are the main reason because of which, the immigrant accounting students are not able to find employment in the country. It may be recalled that Australia is facing an acute shortage of accountants. Birrell suggests raising the bar for English language as part of immigration procedure, which will help in reducing the number of such students coming to the country.
