The importance of regional subcultures and intracountry cultural variation in international management research are examined. The importance to international management research of taking into accounts both the presence and impact of subcultures is discussed.

Emotional intensity as a function of psychological distance and cultural orientation
Article Abstract:
A study investigates emotional intensity as a function of psychological distance and cultural orientation for Chinese and American students. It was found that American expressed less psychological distance between in-group and out-group members than Chinese.

Measuring cultural adaptation on the Web: A content analytic study of U.S. and Japanese Web sites
Article Abstract:
Web sites reach global audiences and necessitate country-specific cultural adaptation. A framework to measure cultural values embedded in Web sites is proposed and it is tested using a content analysis of US and Japanese company Web sites.
