Several tips are given to potential buyers or sellers of companies or other large assets. Buyers are advised to have an agreement on price and major terms before starting negotiations concerning the technicalities of the buy out. On the other hand, sellers should consult with their lawyers, accountants and financial advisers before committing to a price or a major term. They should investigate the financial capacity of potential buyers to be sure that they have enough assets to cover the buy out.
