Article Abstract:
GDP grew 3.4% in the April-to -June 2007 period due to higher exports and increase in the following: government spending, nonresidential construction, inventory investments. Graphs show trends in the housing market, manufacturing and nonmanufacturing activities, employment and unemployment rates and, homebuilders and real estate markets. In 2008, GDP is predicted to rise by about 2.8% if the housing market continues to stabilize, industrial activities strengthen further, and with the Federal Reserve's support by providing lower interest rates.
