Three owners fire 25% owner for cause - but they won't pay the price
Article Abstract:
A case study involving the firing of a 25% stockholder in a valve manufacturing industry due to irresponsibility on the part of the said owner was assessed due to the complications which arose from the buy-sell agreement and contract. A buy-out of the fired owner was made at a value more than double of the specified price in the buy-sell agreement due to an alleged violation of the employment contract. The aggravating circumstances could have been prevented if the owners had sought the advise of a legal counsel on how to best deal with the problem stockholder.
