Toiletries/cosmetics industry
Article Abstract:
It is difficult for companies in the personal care industry to expand their distribution networks and market shares in the late 1990s with maturity in the industry and slow domestic growth. The Japanese, Western European, and US markets have consolidated and become more efficient, and there are other opportunities in Asia and the Pacific Rim. These stocks are expected to outperform the market in 1998 and 1999, but not through 2001 to 2003.
