Social accountability: the most recent element to ensure total quality management
Article Abstract:
Corporate social accountability has been incorporated into total quality management processes to address regulatory and consumer issues. The Ethical Trading Initiative, developed by the UK, is an example. The initiative establishes standards and methods to improve living conditions for impoverished citizens in countries that provide materials and supplies to the UK.
