Two extremes of population policy
Article Abstract:
Arguments for and against allowing more immigrants to settle in Australia are discussed. It is suggested that a minimum-population goal is not attainable and that immigrants encourage job creation. However, accepting more immigrants will not necessarily resolve the difficulties connected with population ageing.
