The US plans to impose 100% tariffs on Chinese imports on Feb 26, 1995, unless talks scheduled for Feb 13, 1995, resolve the trade crisis. The US is angry that China has not done more to prevent the sale of pirated US goods. China, in retaliation, also imposed 100% tariffs.
