Organized labor views labor relations consultants as threats to unions. Businesses employ the consultants to keep unions out of their firms. Labor officials are now monitoring the consultants' activities against union organization. Labor consultants must operate within the law. They work to improve employee morale. If union organizing attempts are initiated, the supervisors are enlisted to sound out employee attitudes. The labor consultants' efforts against union organization can prove highly effective.
