Union puts the brakes on

The national secretary of the Australian Manufacturing Workers Union (AMWU) vehicle division, Ian Jones, says the Industrial Relations Commission (IRC) has sent a clear message about the validity of enterprise agreement provisions that oblige manufacturer to involve workers in decision about restructuring. He also hopes the resolution of the spat will be the first step in a better relationship between Holden and the AMWU.
