Improving the quality of student advising in higher education - A case study
Article Abstract:
The quality improvement project demonstrates the application of the quality improvement process (Deming Cycle) to improve the quality of student advising at Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas. The project has included construction of SIPOC (Suppliers, Inputs, Process, Outputs, Customers) and flowchart, nominal group technique, control chart analysis, focus group, customer satisfaction survey, recommendations implemented and follow-up.

Teamwork and total quality management: a durable partnership
Article Abstract:
The report was prepared to examine the durability of teamwork within firms by looking at the relationship between the evolution of quality management programme and the development of teamwork. The studies reported that firms use a great variety of teamwork practices and that they develop ensembles of teamwork practices which become institutionalized within the firm.
