US president George Bush and Australian Prime Minister John Howard have shared amicable political relations during their respective tenures. However, there could be a change in equation especially to AustraliaEs trade interests, if John Kerry defeats Bush in the US Presidential elections on November 2, 2004. AustraliaEs greater concern is, however, the economy, which will be affected irrespective of who wins the election.
