TV Guide reduces its circulation by 8%

TV Guide, has joined with Gemstar in an effort to extend its brand into new media, such CATV directories and Web services. TV Guide's circulation guarantee is now 9.9 mil, down from 1975's peak of 19.7 mil. The company claims 54 mil cable channel users, 3 mil visitors to its Web site, and 7 mil users of its interactive program guides. Ad revenues from the CATV channel, which first aired 2 years ago, are $90 mil.
