Woman acquitted of injecting man with HIV
Article Abstract:
A Canadian judge acquitted Marilyn Tan of charges that she infected a former boyfriend, Conrad Boland, with HIV in revenge for ending their relationship. Boland's allegations had little evidence, according to the judge. A married witness testified openly that he and Tan were romantically involved.

Man acquitted of murder after DNA testing

Guy Paul Morin's prior murder conviction was overturned in an Ontario, Canada appeals court on Jan 23, 1995. He had been accused of raping and murdering his neighbor, but DNA testing revealed he could not have been a suspect. Morin had been in prison for 18 mos.
