After 200 days of sitting and more than six months behind schedule, it was concluded by the industry experts the day that HIH went under the collapse was due to a chronic failure to provide adequately for future claims known as under-reserving or under-provisioning. It was observed that the report's recommendation would have little impact on the way Australian business is run since the collapse of HIH.
