Labor unions are being criticized for failing to provide adequate finances for internal health and safety programs. Unions claim that loss of members has affected the amount of money they can spend on health and safety programs. Labor leaders claim that the consciousness level of health and safety is visable among labor and management.

Article Abstract:
The United States Supreme Court's decisions concerning union contracts and companies' bankruptcies are examined. The effects of the court's decision on collective bargaining are presented. Despite the court's decision, companies will file bankruptcy only when they have no other choice.

The Settlement that Won't Hurt AT&T
Article Abstract:
Negotiations between American Telephone and Telegraph Company (AT&T) and the Communications Workers of American (CWA) are examined. AT&T is able to keep costs down, but at the same time not harm its employees. The CWA was able to come up with a reasonable job security package.
