Entrepreneurs in the 25 to 35 age group are responsible for the highest percentage of new small business enterprises. Downsizing has contributed to this trend, but also, people in this age group have enough experience to start a business and enough energy to keep it going.

The election of a Republican majority to Congress in Nov 1994 could mean changes for the better to regulations for businesses. The new committee chairmen are generally more business-oriented in their thinking than previous Democratic committee chairmen.
