... Versus those who argue against it
Article Abstract:
Critics argue that trading partners of China should not be swayed by the 'bullying' tactics of the country, especially in the investigation of human rights violations. Nations who would like access to China's large market are many times silenced by China in international courts, such as what happened in the United Nations Commission on Human Rights, where China implied access to countries that supported it in its bid to hide human rights violations from world attention.

... But in China, more work is needed
Article Abstract:
As George W. Bush prepares for an October visit to Beijing and Shanghai, a U.S. human-rights policy towards China is greatly needed. Important areas of consideration are the detained scholars held in Chinese prisons for alleged spy activities, and the Internet, which is regulated by over 60 sets of Chinese law to control its usage and keep objectionable material from the public.

Article Abstract:
United States President George W. Bush should act quickly in appointing qualified officials to the executive-congressional commission on human rights in China. Communist Party pressure on religious groups, rural and worker turmoil, and Internet restrictions are among the issues that need to be addressed.
