Is the Tory party a sinking ship?
Article Abstract:
The British Conservative party has lost three members of parliament to the Labor party, which has ruled since 1977, the first in 1995, and the third, Shaun Woodward, in 1999. There is concern about a move to the political right in the Conservative party, and this is the reason given by Woodward for switching sides. Woodward argues that the Labor party better represents his views, and this causes concern to some members of the Labor party on the political left.

Are the Tories dead and buried?
Article Abstract:
The 1997 elections dealt a large setback to the Conservative Party. but did not necessarily kill it. The Tories will have another chance in 5 years if the Labor Party does not perform as expected. Both parties must earn the confidence of the British public if they hope to win or keep voters.
