WYETH POWERS FORWARD
Article Abstract:
The scrip of Wyeth Lederle (WL), a pharmaceutical company, seems to be a good investment considering the company's performance during April-September 1998. Its sales grew by 9 percent and the profit by 20 percent. It earned Rs13 in 1997-98. This led to the scrip being valued at 41 times. It plans to introduce new products from the portfolio of American Health Products, its parent, in the later part of 1998. WL hopes to post a 20 percent increase in its earning per share and a valuation of 34 times. (ag)
