A cheer for Olympo-Americans
Article Abstract:
The 1996 Olympics, held in Atlanta, GA, saw an outpouring of support for all the American athletes, bringing forth charges of arrogance and isolationism from some other countries. However, a more charitable view would be that the US used the occasion to help bring together the diverse elements of its country.

The newly-opened American Museum in Giverny is a welcome addition to the town which is famous for Monet's house and gardens. The Museum's premiere exhibit is an excellent American collection entitled 'Lasting Impressions: American Painters in France 1865-1915.'

Self-Governing Americans: the land of the free

Americans have traditionally valued self-governance, but dislike for the government is becoming more popular and violent. It is difficult to differentiate expressions of freedom that are honorable from those that are not.
