Ethnic Russians are leaving the newly independent Central Asian nations now that they find that they are unwelcome in nations founded on ethnic identity. The departure of the highly skilled Russians could mean trouble for some countries such as Kazakhstan, where Russians make up 38% of the population.

Central America: out of the ditch
Article Abstract:
For the first time in centuries, all the countries of Central America are at peace and experimenting with some form of democracy. All the leaders were elected and are cooperating with each other. It remains to see how long this will last.
